Catching the Waves In Ko Olina Hawaii

Hola, and welcome back to my blog. I know what you’re saying, I haven’t been blogging lately.

Well you’re right and I apologize for being absent and not being consistent with my material. But do know I have been very busy writing and finishing up on some projects so that 2020 can be the best year yet.

As many know I travel quite a bit mainly its only be in the mainland, but early December I was able to travel and Stay at the beautiful Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club which is about 30 min from the Airport and just steps from the ocean and Oahu Island.

First let me just say the resort is far beyond amazing. The hotel is located in a gated community with small dining’s and shops that is easily accessible and affordable, which Is something I enjoyed because it’s gave me that safe intimate environment which is comforting for first time visitors. Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club Is very big property and quite expensive. Basic rooms start about $450 a night (yikes) which includes WiFi, doesn’t include parking or any other incentives which was a down fall.

The property has 3 outdoor swimming pools and one specifically for children which is adorable and one for those who like to just relax that is called the silence pool, 3 jacuzzis, beach front dinings which I wasn’t a big fan of. I ordered the turkey burger with fries and a cocktail and was very disappointe. It was definitely overpriced $22 for the meal and it came back little to no flavor. I would definitely recommend going to Zippys, Pizza Corner or Ko Okinawa Hawaiian BBQ which were are reasonably priced and very flavorful.

They offer various activities for hotel guest/residents like yoga, Arts and crafts, games for adults and children, a spa that Offers facials and massages, movie nights on the lawn, BBQ pits, Luaus and much much more.

I really enjoyed myself and was even able to head down to the city and see the beautiful sites of Waikiki Beach and Pearl Harbor.

Waikiko Beach was definitely a lot busier and tourist filled than Ko Olina. You won’t have too much privacy or quiet time like at the resort but it’s offers a great city experience with bars, parks, surfing, zoo to name a few and the food and shopping was still expensive but reasonable.

Overall the island was beautiful and I learned a lot about the island in a short amount of time. Although I wasn’t able to climb volcanoes, or hike to see the many waterfalls they have, I had a great time overall.

If you ever plan to visit make sure you take a fair amount of money, prepare yourself for the time difference, and have fun.
